What you need to know about ISO standards

The ISO standards 17024 and 17100 represent international standards developed by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO). ISO/IEC cooperates with national and European standardisation organisations, such as the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN) in Germany. Personal certification bodies such as certcouncil.eu base their work on these standards. Examinations in the respective certification areas assess the competence of the candidate based on objective criteria. Following a successful examination, certification is granted for up to five years. The ISO 17024 / 17100 standard guarantees the impartiality and independence of the certification body.

The ISO 9001:2015 was introduced in 2015 and is the updated version of ISO 9001:2008. It emphasises a process-oriented approach and takes into account stakeholder management and employee qualifications, among other things.</p

The ISO 26000 serves as a guideline for the socially responsible behaviour of organisations. Certification according to this standard is not intended. However, organisations can apply to certcouncil.eu for confirmation of their commitment to the principles of the guideline. After a positive review, certcouncil.eu issues a corresponding confirmation.
